It’s a relaxed old fishing town on Morocco’s Atlantic coast which has a lovely mix of blue and white houses, an imposing sandy coloured fort plus good gift shopping opportunities.

It has attracted its fair share of artists over the years. Even top musician, Jimi Hendrix visited and Orson Welles loved it so much he filmed “Othello” there.
