Visiting Moroccan properties for a second home buy

If you’re planning a property inspection trip to look at Morocco properties - you’ll need to find a decent place to rest your head to help you make the most of your stay.

Inland and Northern Moroccan property options
Whilst Marrakech and Fez present good property buy locations, there are resorts on the Mediterranean coast which are worth considering.

The weather’s a bit cooler in the northern areas too – offering a reprieve from the hot summer temperatures experienced in the southern interior. This has implications for the rental return opportunities too. Current new build apartment properties on the Mediterranean coast include:

  • Alcudia Smir near Fnideq and a short drive from Ceuta
  • Playa Vista near Tamrabet, closest city is Tetouan.

As well as being located close to Cabo Negro Coast’s white sandy beaches, they offer Moroccan golf property rental return opportunities based on proximity to nearby prestigious Royal Cabo Negro Golf Course.

Essaouira by sea
If you’re taking a property viewing trip to Marrakech, you might like to spend your last few days by the sea. Try laid-back Essaouira. It’s a relaxed old fishing town on Morocco’s Atlantic coast which has a lovely mix of blue and white houses, an imposing sandy coloured fort plus good gift shopping opportunities.

It has attracted its fair share of artists over the years. Even top musician, Jimi Hendrix visited and Orson Welles loved it so much he filmed “Othello” there.
